BELLE MEADE - Noelle, the restaurant that replaced Whitfield's almost two years ago, quietly closed their doors after service on January 15. Owners Dewayne and Wendi Johnson announced the closure on the restaurant's website, stating that they would be "retiring from the restaurant industry with the end of the business lease." [Eaterwire]
EAST NASHVILLE - Craft brewery Southern Grist Brewing Co. is slated to open their doors on February 2. Located in the former Boone & Sons market at 1201 Porter Road, the 2,000 square foot brewery will seat 49 guests and offer 12 beers on tap, as well as thin crust pizzas from Germantown's 312 Pizza Co. EAST NASHVILLE - Brothers Ryan and Danny Nicoletto are expanding their small batch pasta business and opening a restaurant next to Mickey's Tavern on Gallatin Pike. Nicoletto’s Italian Kitchen will be open for lunch and dinner, serving handmade pasta, sauces, meatballs and more. The location will also serve as a retail space for Nicoletto’s packaged pastas. DOWNTOWN - Chicago-based Headquarters Beercade appears to finally be getting underway on the construction of their new 2nd Avenue location, having posted to social media that demolition was planned to begin last week.
