Nuit Belge Announces Restaurant Line-Up; Nashville Wine Auction to Welcome Austin Chefs

MARATHON VILLAGE­ - Nuit Belge, Rhizome Production's Belgian beer and food event, is returning March 12, and they've just announced the line-up of this year's participating restaurants, which includes Husk, Cochon Butcher, City House, Sinema, Butchertown Hall, Two Ten Jack, Prima, Margot Cafe and Bar, Rudie's Seafood and Sausage, Butcher & Bee, The 404 Kitchen and Chauhan Ale & Masala House. THE GULCH - The Nashville Wine Auction's annual 'Pairings' event is back, taking place February 27 at 6 p.m. at The Rosewall, and this year they're bringing Austin chefs into the mix. Austin's Sonya Cote (Eden East), Andrew Wiseheart (Contigo) and Harold Marmulstein (Salty Sow) will join local chefs Robert Grace (Kayne Prime), Brian Baxter (Husk Nashville) and Megan Williams (Etch). Tickets are $250 per person and are available online. NASHVILLE - A new cocktail competition, the Sipsmith Showdown, is coming to Nashville. The three-week event is being put on by Hook + Bond (a new venture from veteran local barmen Caleb Kimbley and Galen Johnson) and in partnership with Sipsmith Gin. Semifinal rounds will be held at Bar Sovereign on Monday, Feb. 8, and Bar Luca on Monday, Feb. 15, with the winners facing off in the finals at the soon-to-open Old Glory on Monday, Feb. 22 for a chance to travel to London for a visit to Sipsmith's new distillery.
