Dee’s Country Cocktail Lounge

DOWNTOWN – A French restaurant called Sea Salt is planned to open at the former Events on Third space downtown. Located at 209 Third Avenue North, the 5,000-square-foot eatery will occupy the ground floor, with additional second floor space available for another food or beverage tenant. A January opening is the goal. [The Tennessean]

MADISON – Andy Gaines, the owner of East Nashville dive bar Mickey’s Tavern, is partnering with Amy Dee Richardson to open Dee’s Country Cocktail Lounge in the former Janine’s Country & Western Bar at 102 E. Palestine Avenue. Planned to open later this month, the bar will have a “country music theme reminiscent of Nashville circa 1975[,]” with live music, karaoke and “good bar food[.]” [The Tennessean]

MURFREESBOROJack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint’s second Middle Tennessee location is planned to open Oct. 10 at 113 N. Maple Street on the Courthouse Square. Like the Germantown spot, it will offer over 100 different beers, as well as a mostly-burger menu. [Nashville Business Journal]

MURFREESBOROChicken Salad Chick, a Southern-inspired, fast casual chicken salad restaurant, is opening its first Middle Tennessee location on Oct. 11 at 2855 Medical Center Parkway. The restaurant, which has another store in the works in Hendersonville, serves up a variety of chicken salads, along with deli sandwiches and sides. [EaterWire]

MIDTOWN – It looks like chicken wing fans will have a new option soon, as Wings Over Nashville is currently in the process of moving in to the Demonbreun Hill space previously home to Indian restaurants Bawarchi Biryani Point and Tamarind Indian Bistro. [EaterWire]
