UPDATED: Frisky Frog’s Hops Into the Demonbreun Hill Bar Scene This Friday

Will it be the one to break the curse at this prime location?

UPDATED (12/6/16): Just missing that hopeful November opening, the Demonbreun nightlife scene is about to get its next watering hole, as Frisky Frog’s will open its doors this Friday at 11 a.m.

Following the rather speedy demise of cigar and whiskey lounge The State Room, a new bar and live music venue called Frisky Frog’s is coming to the Demonbreun Hill nightlife strip.

Located at 1530 Demonbreun Street, construction is currently underway on the project, which according to the temporary signage is aiming for a November opening. Social media accounts and a website are live, giving away few details other than the promise of “craft cocktails and upscale snacks,” which will apparently include buffalo frog legs, ‘frisky’ nachos, deep-fried soft shell crab and more. Planned hours posted on the website are 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Eater reached out via email and phone for additional info but was unable to reach representatives.

Over the past three-and-a-half years, this particular space has seen more turnover than any other in the development. It was previously home to Red Rooster and The Pavilion Kitchen & Bar, then sat vacant for a year-and-a-half before The State Room opened and closed its doors. So will Frisky Frog’s be the one that finally sticks?
