It looks as though The Hook, unfortunately, could not bring them back, as the fast-casual Melrose-area restaurant quietly closed its doors over the weekend.
No announcement was made prior to the shutter, but Reed Hospitality Group, which also owns Sinema just down the road, confirmed the news to the Nashville Scene earlier this morning, citing the need “to provide a different food and beverage offering” to the neighborhood.
Opened back in February, the seafood-focused eatery was originally Dale Levitski’s concept, who was still in his role as executive chef at Sinema at the time. Former Chauhan Ale & Masala House chef de cuisine Vasisht Ramasubramanian was brought in to run the day-to-day, stepping into the executive chef role himself in March after Levitski’s departure from the restaurant group. Ramasubramanian will now move on from the project, as the Reeds look to re-concept the space, with managing director Ed Reed stating that they “will transform the menu and décor into something that the neighborhood will really embrace. Stay tuned."
