While the number of Nashville restaurant and bar openings continue at a rapid pace, the city's doughnut scene has been much slower to grow, dominated over the years primarily by chains. We've seen a few promising additions come and go, like DOH Nashville's creative offerings. But then there is Five Daughters Bakery, which has expanded rapidly, opening three locations in less than a year. So while the number is small, these four spots are your best bets for getting your doughnut fix.

For those who don't like waiting in line, check out the "DonutCam" that lets patrons keep an eye on the crowd and the inventory before making the trek to the shop. Five Daughters' doughnuts can also be found at their store inside The Factory at Franklin and at all Barista Parlor locations.
