Another new brewery is poised to kick things off in East Nashville, as Southern Grist Brewing Co. will officially open their taproom for business today at 4 p.m.

Housed in the former Boone & Sons market space, the 2,000 square foot brewery from owners Jamie Lee, Kevin Antoon and Jared Welch features a 49-seat taproom with 12 rotating taps. Currently on their website they have eight different brews listed, including several sours, IPAs and a coffee milk stout. Germantown's 312 Pizza Co. is lending a hand on the food, providing four different thin crust pizzas that will be cooked onsite at the brewery.

Hours are 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 4 to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
