UPDATED (5/23/16): It looks like everyone is going to have to wait a little longer for the return of Actual Brunch, as Actual Food Nashville rep Johann Porisch tells Eater that they are postponing the planned May return of the popular brunch until later this Fall, while they currently direct their focus on continuing to grow the catering business.
Chef Dan Forberg has found a home for his Actual Food Nashville catering business, having been working on renovating a property located at 3914 Gallatin Pike, formerly a Mrs. Winner's Chicken & Biscuits, since last summer. But with that comes some additional news that Forberg has recently been teasing out over social media: Actual Brunch is making a permanent return.
The Sunday brunch pop-up, which had a successful extended run at POP Nashville that ended in early 2015, is coming back as a permanent fixture in May. Forberg tells Eater that they plan to offer a full bar, and that favorites such as the Liege waffles and 'Vegan People' will definitely make a return. Because of the smaller size of the space, seating will be limited, but Forberg says that a patio is in the works. He's also playing around with the idea of utilizing the existing drive-through window as well.
In addition to Sunday brunch, the 500-square-foot Actual Food space will also play host to special pop-up events and be available for rental as a private event venue. So be sure to check back for additional details as Actual Brunch draws closer, or follow Actual Food on Instagram to stay in the know.
