Goozy Closes Village Green Location; Loews Vanderbilt Announces New Executive Chef

GREEN HILLS - Dessert shop and cafe Goozy announced earlier today that they have shuttered their Village Green location, with their last service occurring this past Saturday night. Open for just a little over a year, they still have one smaller location inside The Green Hills Mall. [Facebook]

MIDTOWN - Loews Vanderbilt Hotel has named Silvio Rosalen has its new executive chef. Rosalen, who was previously the executive sous chef at sister property Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando Resort, will oversee all of the hotel's culinary operations including southern brasserie Mason's. Rosalen fills the void left by opening chef Brandon Frohne's departure this past August. [EaterWire]

FRANKLIN - Two new eateriesSoulshine Pizza Factory and Whit's Frozen Custardare coming to Franklin's Berry Farms community. Soulshine Pizza's second Nashville-area location is expected to open in July and will take up a 4,200 square-foot space with a patio. Ohio-based Whit's Frozen Custard will make its Tennessee debut with a space right across the street, with plans to open in the spring. [Tennessean]
