EAST NASHVILLE - Vivek Surti's VEA Supper Club pops up again next month at The Family Wash, this time with the theme "Biryani & Beer" focusing around the traditional Indian dish of rice with meat or vegetables. The evening's menu will include 3 courses, with vegetarian options available. Two seatings will be offered for the April 3rd event - 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. - with tickets for sale at $25 per person. NASHVILLE - After hitting Nashville last week to film an episode of his CNN series Parts Unknown, this past weekend Anthony Bourdain hit SXSW in Austin, and told a packed house about his recent Music City adventure: "I eat many strange and spicy things around the world, but never in my life have I experienced something like [Nashville hot chicken.] The spicy version: Is it food? MIDTOWN - new Starbucks is planned for the corner of 22nd Avenue North and Charlotte Avenue near Centennial Medical Center. The Starbucks, which could open as early as this fall, will include a drive-thru. [Nashville Business Journal]
