Those longstanding rumors of James Beard award-winning New Orleans chef John Besh opening up shop in Nashville, and specifically The Gulch, are now officially confirmed, as Besh plans to oversee the operation of three new concepts inside the Thompson Nashville hotel, currently under construction next to The 404 Kitchen.

According to The Tennessean, Besh's new hotel dining division One House Hospitality has partnered with the Thompson's parent company Commune Hotels & Resorts to open The Marsh House, a restaurant meant to be "an homage to the place of Besh's childhood" and focusing on seafood, along with Killebrew Coffee, a fast-casual breakfast and lunch spot, and a rooftop bar serving cocktails and small plates. Brian Landry, chef/partner at Besh's seafood-centric New Orleans restaurant Borgne, has been named executive chef for One House Hospitality, with former Besh Restaurant Group COO Emery Whalen tapped to oversee operations.

The hotel is aiming for a fall 2016 opening.
