Gordon's Is Bringing More Nashville Hot Chicken to the Melrose Neighborhood

An opening is tentatively planned for 4th of July week

Eater Nashville

A new Nashville hot chicken option is preparing to hit the Melrose neighborhood, as construction on Gordon's, a restaurant and bar specializing in the fiery fowl, is planned to start next month.

Located next to Pie Five Pizza in the new Melrose Retail Center at 2625 Franklin Pike, property representative Tiffanie Fitzpatrick with Capital Corporation tells Eater that Gordon's co-owners Randy Arnold and Spencer Middlebrooks plan to serve lunch and dinner seven days a week, with brunch on the weekends. The 2,000 square foot space will have an "upscale bar atmosphere" and offer cocktails, beer and wine, with seating including a dedicated bar, table-tops and a patio. Specific menu details weren't readily available, but Gordon's Instagram account shows that menu testing is well underway.

Middlebrooks, whose restaurant bears his mother's last name, is no stranger to the business, having been the opening restaurant manager for Deezie's Hot Chicken in Murfreesboro. His custom layer cakes have also been featured at Antioch hot chicken outpost Hot Stuff, and Fitzpatrick says that he will be using his own personal hot chicken recipe at Gordon's.

So be sure to check back for updates as they move closer to their hopeful July 4th week opening.
