Prolific West Coast chef and restaurateur Michael Mina is jumping on board the Nashville train, as plans are in the works for Mina to bring his Bourbon Steak restaurant to the new JW Marriott currently under construction in SoBro.
According to the Nashville Business Journal, recently filed documents with the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) reveal the plans, with the MDHA reviewing signage requests from developer Turnberry Associates today, which include logos for Bourbon Steak, a Starbucks and a second as-yet-unnamed restaurant.
Other locations of Bourbon Steak serve lunch and dinner, offering a large selection of high-dollar steaks, along with seafood, appetizers and sides.
Mina, the 47-year-old chef who currently operates over two-dozen restaurants across the country, has five other locations of Bourbon Steak, including outposts in Phoenix, Miami and Washington, D.C., with his San Francisco location recently shuttering. Mina's eponymous Bay Area restaurant currently holds one Michelin star.
