With the first Nashville outpost of Barcelona Wine Bar and Restaurant still months away from opening in Edgehill Village, Connecticut-based restaurant group Barteca already has plans to double down on its Spanish tapas concept, this time in Germantown.
The Tennessean reports that the group is proposing to construct two buildings totaling roughly 7,500 square feet (see rendering below) on a vacant lot situated between Barista Parlor and City House at 1226 Fourth Avenue North. The design will go up before the Metro Historic Zoning Commission on Wednesday, with the commission's staff already recommending disapproval of the construction. If approved, the restaurant would be aiming for a mid-2017 opening.
