It finally happened. After making the James Beard Awards semifinalist list nine times and the finalist list four years in a row for Best Chef: Southeast, City House chef and owner Tandy Wilson took home the top prize in the regional 'best of' category at the awards gala in Chicago tonight:
Wilson is the first Nashville chef to bring home a James Beard Award outside of the heritage awards given out to local stalwarts Arnold's Country Kitchen and Prince's Hot Chicken Shack in past years.
