Local restaurateur Tom Morales is adding a seafood-focused restaurant and bar to his list of projects, as the owner of The Southern Steak & Oyster and Acme Feed & Seed has announced plans to open Fin & Pearl in the Gulch.

Located at 1212 Laurel Street in the ground floor of the Twelve | Twelve condo building, Morales tells The Tennessean that the 7,200 square foot restaurant will be '"sea-to-fork"' with a "focus on sustainability, traceability and transparency" when it comes to the sourcing of the fish. The major emphasis will be on seafood, including a raw bar, with additional options such as steak, vegetarian dishes and sushi. The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and will include an outdoor patio and private events space.

An opening late this year is planned, so be sure to check back for more details and updates.
