Hillsboro Village will soon be down one coffee shop, as Bongo Productions' Hot & Cold will close at the end of May, and in its place will be a new fast-casual restaurant from the Bongo Java owners.
Announced yesterday via social media, Bongo Productions owner and founder Bob Bernstein tells Eater that the new concept will be "a healthy, tasty, fast food place with a sophisticated twist on some standards." He further describes it as a place that will "incorporate different food ideas I've been inspired by from travel." A fall opening for the new restaurant is planned.
Hot & Cold's hours for the rest of May will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
