It's a new era for Ru San's, the sushi and seafood restaurant that was considered a trailblazer when it first opened its doors in The Gulch in 2003, as it officially opened in its new Hillsboro Village location earlier today.

It was a quick transition, with Ru San's original location closing after service on May 29, and former Village sushi and burger spot Lucky Belly closing permanently this past Sunday to make way for the new restaurant. The building actually has quite a history of sushi eateries calling it home, with Lucky Belly having been preceded by Zumi Sushi and Taste of Tokyo.

Hours for the new Ru San's are still the same, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
