FRANKLIN - Scout's Pub, a new restaurant from the owners of Puckett's Grocery and Homestead Manor, 'soft opened' earlier today in Franklin's Westhaven community, serving up "Southern takes on traditional pub offerings" along with a selection of craft beer. EAST NASHVILLE - A group of real estate investors and developers have purchased 3.07 acres in East Nashville, including the historic McGavock House property, a use for which could include an expansion of the Belle Meade Winery, currently housed at the Belle Meade Plantation. The developers also plan to bring a mixed-use development to the site which could include retail space, as well as a restaurant venue. [The Tennessean]
MIDTOWN - The Hutton Hotel's 1808 Grille is on the hunt for a new executive chef, as general manager Gary Crump confirms with Eater that Jake Strang recently resigned his position at the restaurant, which he had held since June 2014.
