We now know the name, along with the key players, for celebrity chef Maneet Chauhan's modern diner concept, one of two new restaurants Chauhan plans to open later this fall in The Gulch.
Called The Mockingbird Nashville, Chauhan has brought on as partners in the project, according to the restaurant's website, Brian Riggenbach and his husband Mikey Corona. The duo, who will run the kitchen and front-of-house respectively, currently reside in Chicago and own and operate Yo Soy Underground Supper, a frequent pop-up specializing in unique takes on Mexican cuisine.
The restaurant's website provides few additional details, but does state that "the menu will draw inspiration from that of a classic diner, featuring comfort foods creatively executed with a unique global spin." It also gives some specific details on the beverage program, which "will feature playful punches as well as frozen cocktails and adult milkshakes[.]"
Be sure to check back for additional details as plans for The Mockingbird continue to come together.
