Just in Time for Summer, Five Daughters Is Rolling Out Ice Cream Doughnuts

They'll be available starting next Monday in 12 South

David Molnar

With the weather really starting to heat up in Middle Tennessee, the folks at Five Daughters Bakery are hoping to help customers cool down with the launch of their newest creation: the ice cream doughnut. Yes, that's correct.

Starting next Monday at the 12 South location only (Franklin outpost to follow later this month), they will begin offering doughnuts stuffed with a scoop of house-made ice cream. Not sandwiched between, but INSIDE the doughnut. A rep for Five Daughters tells Eater that they will be offered starting in the afternoon each day, and will be made to order, with the pastry still warm when it arrives. Flavors for both the doughnut and the ice cream will vary from day to day. Do expect lines for this one.

Additionally, they also started up expanded hours this past Monday, with the Franklin location now open until 4 p.m., and the 12 South storefront open until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
