A familiar face will be at the helm when Spanish tapas spot Barcelona Wine Bar opens in Edgehill Village, as Andy Hayes has been named as the executive chef for the forthcoming restaurant and bar.
Hayes, a seasoned chef who most recently worked as executive chef at Italian eatery Moto and as the opening chef de cuisine at Germantown's 5th & Taylor, joined the Barcelona team earlier this year. During a previous stint in Nashville earlier in his career, he spent time cutting his teeth at The Hermitage Hotel's Capitol Grille, starting as a line cook and working his way up to chef de cuisine. He then made the move to New York City, working at Gramercy Tavern, as well as The Whelk in Westport, Connecticut, before returning to Nashville two and a half years ago.
