No surprise, Nashville is getting one of the first expansions of Holler & Dash outside the state of Alabama, as Cracker Barrel's first foray into fast casual, aimed squarely at millennials, is headed to the Hill Center Brentwood.

The casual biscuit house, which opened its first location in Homewood, Ala. back in March, followed by a second outpost in Tuscaloosa earlier this month, focuses on the breakfast and lunch crowd with a biscuit sandwich-heavy menu. And it's got some major Nashville chef ties, with director of culinary Brandon Frohne, formerly the executive chef of Mason's Restaurant and a known biscuit aficionado, driving the menu. Jason McConnell, the chef/owner of Franklin restaurants The Red Pony, Cork & Cow and others, also was previously involved with the restaurant, helping with the menu creation.

A November opening is the goal, with the restaurant now joining Del Frisco's Grille, Yeah! Burger, Nama Sushi Bar and Uncle Julio's in the Hill Center. Planned hours will be 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
