Gerard Craft's Pastaria Pops Back Up; Oak Steakhouse Nashville Names Executive Chef

SOBRO -€” Chef Eric Zizka has been named as executive chef of Oak Steakhouse's Nashville outpost, opening later this year in The Westin Nashville. Zizka most recently served as executive chef for the Atlanta location for the past year, and previously worked as chef de cuisine at Oak Steakhouse's original location in Charleston. [EaterWire]

MIDTOWN -€” In advance of Gerard Craft's Pastaria Nashville opening later this summer, the restaurant will host its third in a series of pop-up events on August 2 from 5 to 9 p.m. at OneC1TY's CITYBLOX. Craft will again bring his 8,000 pound mobile pizza oven and feature three Pastaria favorites including the margherita and spicy nduja pizzas. DOWNTOWN -€” The entertainment lineup has been announced for the seventh annual Music City Hot Wing Festival, as headliners Dirty Dozen Brass Band, AJ & the Jiggawatts and more will take the stage on Saturday, August 6. Advance tickets are $15 for festival entry and $40 for unlimited wings, with a portion of the proceeds going to The Bootstraps Foundation.
