Chicago's Big Onion Tavern Group Lands Prime Midtown Property

Another restaurant and bar is headed for Midtown, as Chicago-based Big Onion Tavern Group has purchased a two-story office building near the corner of Division Street and 19th Avenue South.

According to The Tennesseanthe restaurant group paid $1.9 million for the 4,500-square-foot property located at 1903 Division Street, joining a high-traffic area peppered with a number of casual restaurants and bars. Big Onion currently operates eight different concepts in Chicago, ranging from a wine bar and Irish pub to a brunch-centric eatery. No word yet on what might be coming, so be sure to check back for more details.
