A Belle Meade property that's been home to several restaurants over the years has a new tenant once again, as Midtown's Giovanni Ristorante is in the process of opening a second location in the former Whitfield's and Noelle space.
Located at 106 Harding Place, an eagle-eyed tipster sent Eater a photo of the new exterior signage over the weekend. Restaurant co-owner Giovanni Francescotti, who opened the first Nashville storefront in 2008, tells Eater that they are around six weeks out from opening the new location, which will feature a similar but slightly smaller, more affordable menu than their Midtown outpost, but with a continued focus on Northern Italian cooking. The restaurant will be dinner only, with seating for 100 inside and room for another 25 on the outdoor patio.
Giovanni Ristorante will be the third restaurant to call this location home in less than three years. Noelle closed at the beginning of this year after a less than two year run, and Whitfield's Restaurant and Bar closed in April 2014 after ten years in business.
