Etc., the newest venture from chef Deb Paquette, Doug Hogrefe and his 4-Top Hospitality group, is set to open on Monday. Nestled in the ground floor of the new Bedford Commons development back off the main Green Hills' drag, Paquette's cooking and the space both are welcome departures from the mostly chains and super-casual local eateries dotting the immediate area.
Local shop Powell Architecture + Building Studio, which has worked on other high profile spots such as Butcher & Bee, Old Glory and Butchertown Hall, handled design duties, with in-house interior designer Katie Vance getting the finishes and furnishings just right. The 68-seat space features two-top and four-top seating, with a 12-seat bar acting as the focal point. An outdoor patio with seating for 30 will be coming later this year. Finishes range from natural wood to a unique blue tile from Red Rock Tileworks. So take a look around, and if you plan on going next week, be sure to send any and all first impressions to the tip line.
