Nashville Street Tacos' Building Sold, Restaurant Closing Sept. 5

But it could make a return

The rapid changes to Broadway and 2nd Avenue's restaurant and nightlife scene continue, as the announcement was made last Thursday via Nashville Street Tacos' Facebook page that the nearly two-and-a-half-year-old 2nd Avenue restaurant would be closing up shop next week following the sale of its building.

Nashville Street Tacos owner Steve Kovach, who also owns restaurant and bar The Stillery just down the street, is the seller of the three-story property located at 129 2nd Avenue North. Steve Sargent, head of operations for both businesses, tells Eater that their last day of service will indeed be next Monday, Sept.5, and that a new business will be moving into the building, with more details expected soon on what that will entail.

Sargent says that they currently do not have a new location planned for Nashville Street Tacos, but "are playing around with a few ideas" and "have no intention of just killing the brand off."

So be sure to check back for more updates on all fronts.
