It's been over a year and a half since word first got out about 12South Taproom and Grill owners Will Shuff and Jamy Borda's plan to open a new location of the popular craft beer bar in The Nations. But after the long pause, fresh details about the project are out today.

Called 51N Taproom (the original reported name was 51 North Taproom and Grill),The Nashville Post reports that the neighborhood bar will be located in a new building soon to be under construction at 702 and 704 51st Avenue North. Its offerings will be very similar to the 12South location, with about 30 beers on tap and more by the bottle and can, along with wine, sake and liquor, which the 12South spot currently does not offer. The kitchen menu will be a mix of what's currently offered at 12South Taproom and the duo's other restaurant and bar, Pub5.

The bar, which is aiming for a spring 2017 opening, will take up about 3,000-square-feet in the new build, with a 500-square-foot patio as well.
