A prominent Hillsboro Village space is getting new life, as Hopdoddy Burger Bar, a popular Austin-based craft burger and beer joint, will open in the ground floor of the former Boscos Restaurant and Brewing Co. building.

According to a release, Hopdoddy co-owners Guy Villavaso, Larry Perdido, Chuck Smith and Larry Foles have signed a 10-year lease for the entire first floor at 1805 21st Avenue South, with executive office suites planned for the second floor. The announcement comes nearly two years to the day since Boscos abruptly closed its longtime Village location.

First opened in 2010, Hopdoddy serves up burgers ranging from beef to tuna to vegetarian, along with fries, queso and shakes. Craft beer, as well as a selection of cocktails and a brief wine list, are also offered.

The expansion to Nashville is the latest move for the group, which now has 16 locations (with number seventeen on the way) across Texas, California, Arizona and in Colorado.
