Well it didn’t take long for those promised future details on the 4-Top Hospitality concept taking over the former Blackstone Restaurant & Brewery space to come out, as Saltine, a restaurant and oyster bar currently located in Jackson, Miss., will open a second location in Midtown early next year.

The restaurant, which offers a menu of seafood, po’boys, steaks and salads, along with a raw bar, will open in late February at 1918 West End Ave. Chef Steven Robilio, who runs the kitchen at Amerigo next door, will oversee the menu at Saltine as well. Richard Peterson, previously at Etch, will come on as general manager, with Seth Wood, formerly at Sinema, overseeing the beverage program.

The restaurant, clocking in at 9,000-square-feet, will seat 235, along with an additional 35 seats at the bar. There will also be patio dining, as well as two private dining rooms.

Saltine will be open daily for dinner, with lunch served Monday through Friday and brunch on the weekends.
