The Donut + Dog Replaces Hillsboro Village Hot Dog Joint

The new concept is aiming for a Dec. 1 grand opening

Eater Nashville

One of Nashville’s most popular hot dog joints has closed, with a new doughnut and hot dog concept taking its place.

The Dog of Nashville, which opened at 2127 Belcourt Ave. in Hillsboro Village in 2007, closed its doors at the beginning of November. A notice (see below) has been posted to the front door that the business is now under new ownership and that the new concept will be called The Donut + Dog. The restaurant will serve doughnuts, hot dogs, and gourmet coffee, along with a weekend brunch, according to a recent post on The Dog of Nashville’s still active Facebook page.

And it looks like the new owners are aiming for a quick turnaround, as Dec. 1 is the target date for the grand opening.
