Nashville’s first Melbourne-style coffee house is now serving up flat whites, Nutella hot chocolate and more, as 37° Degrees Sth opened its doors last week.
Located at 6000 Highway 100 in the retail center home to 360 Bistro and Juice Bar, owner/operators Steve and Natasha Gordijn relocated from Melbourne, Australia to Nashville earlier this summer to open up Belle Meade’s only locally owned coffee shop.
Serving breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch, the menus (see below) are concise, with dishes changing weekly. Options range from a croque madame and bircher muesli (a dish made with raw oats, nuts, seeds and dried fruits mixed with heavy cream and yogurt) for morning meals, with two each of soups, salads and sandwiches at lunchtime. There is also a rotating selection of baked goods and pastries from chef Natasha Gordijn.
On the beverage front, lattes, cappuccinos and flat whites are the main focus, along with hot specialty teas, Australian iced coffee and hot chocolate.
Hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
