Two of East Tennessee’s most well-known alcoholic beverage brands are teaming up with a popular Nashville musical variety show to open a new entertainment complex in SoBro next year.
Ole Smoky Distillery and Yee-Haw Brewing Company will collaborate with Music City Roots on 6th & Peabody, a venue located at 423 Sixth Ave. S. that will feature a distillery, brewery, live music, bars, tasting rooms, and beer and bottle shops. Live music will be featured during the day and at night, with a small performance area in the tasting room and a full-production concert stage in the main hall, along with a broadcast studio for WMOT Roots Radio 89.5 FM.
The distillery, which specializes in flavored moonshine and whiskey, will serve cocktails, as well as offer ten different flavors on tap. Yee-Haw Brewing will have at least six beers on tap each day as well. Moonshine by the jar and bottled beer will also be available for purchase to go.
An existing warehouse on the property will be part of the project, which will, according to renderings, also include another separate building and a large outdoor space. The complex is scheduled to open in the second half of 2018.
Joe Baker, owner of Yee-Haw Brewing Company and the founder of Ole Smoky Distillery, detailed plans this past April for the brewery to expand to SoBro, but the distillery and music venue were not yet mentioned as part of the project.
