A prime East Nashville retail location is getting its fifth different tenant in just over eight years, as neighborhood restaurant and bar The Mainstay plans to open its doors on April 1 at the Fifth and Main condo complex.
Located at 501 Main Street, The Mainstay, owned and operated by Manny Hatz and Josiah Johnson, follows Allium, Germantown Cafe East, Feast and The Vine as the latest restaurant concept for the space, with the latter having closed its doors in May of last year. Coincidentally, Hatz was the owner of Feast as well.
Described as a chef-driven sports bar with a “farm-to-sports bar menu[,]” Falon Smith, previously executive chef at The Vine, will be running the kitchen, and while a menu is not yet available, the website promises casual fare including burgers, wings, sandwiches, vegan options and weekend brunch. A full bar will also be available.
It will also feature 20 televisions, along with a selection of arcade games.
The Mainstay will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
