There is no such thing as too many brunch options, and this month shows a promising new crop popping up. Here’s the rundown on new offerings from Urban Cowboy Public House, Henrietta Red, and Answer:
- Urban Cowboy Public House - This Lockeland Springs hot spot with a high-powered F&B team launched weekend brunch on April 1, offering up a concise menu featuring dishes such as cowboy chilaquilas, avocado toast, pork on toast with apple butter and sheep’s cheese and a cowboy breakfast with two eggs, country ham and grilled toast. Brunch beverages include a michelada, Bloody Mary and a rosé paloma. Hours are Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. 3 p.m.
- Henrietta Red - After about a month of dinner service, Julia Sullivan, Allie Poindexter and the rest of the team are ready to kick off brunch starting April 22. No real details yet on the menu, but clearly there will be plenty of oysters involved. And keep an eye on the restaurant’s Facebook page for teasers (like this monkey bread). Planned hours are Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Answer - This new Sylvan Park neighborhood restaurant opened its doors on April 4, and now they’ve just announced the debut of weekend brunch. Starting this Saturday, April 15, menu options include baked eggs, French toast, mussels and a breakfast sandwich with scrambled eggs, bacon and cheese on sourdough. See the full rundown here. Hours will be Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
