Music City Food + Wine Returns This September With Some Notable Changes

It will now be a three day affair

Justin Chesney

The Music City Food + Wine Festival is returning for a fifth year with some notable changes, including moving the chef showcases to Friday night and Saturday afternoon, with the Gospel Brunch now a stand alone event on Sunday. The bulk of the local and guest chef lineup, along with events, was announced today. Tickets for the annual festival, which takes place Sept. 15-17, went on sale at 10 a.m. this morning.

Returning events this year include the Chef Showcase, featuring over 30 local chefs on Friday and Saturday; Saturday night's Harvest Night event spotlighting guest chefs and featuring a musical tribute from pedal steel guitarist Robert Randolph; the return of Pappy Hour; and Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint and Friends, where pitmaster Pat Martin sets up his live fire playground and invites his friends to cook with him.

New this year is the Sunday Gospel Brunch, which will feature Tim Love (Back Dough), Joshua Simpson (Proper Bagel), Levon Wallace (Gray & Dudley) and Karl Worley (Biscuit Love), with a live gospel performance from Gayle Mayes. Additional special guests will be announced.

More details will be released as the event gets closer, but you can find the full rundown of participating chefs below.
