Take a Tour Through Headquarters Beercade, Now Open in Downtown Nashville

The Chicago-based hangout is an alternative to the usual honky-tonks

The Nashville outpost of Chicago-based restaurant, bar and arcade Headquarters Beercade opened downtown last week. And Eater has the first look at the finished interior.

Long the home of various clubs and nightlife venues over the years, the space, located at 114 2nd Avenue South, is high-ceilinged and open, featuring two levels of games and drinks. The main level features a 40-foot bar, a DJ booth backed by a wall made up of 13,000 cassette tapes, as well as the bulk of the games. Various murals are scattered throughout, along with Headquarters Beercade’s signature neon sign, “Don’t grow up it’s a trap.” The back wall also has a 205-inch retractable projection screen that will be used during major sporting events. The 1,500-square-foot mezzanine overlooking the first floor also offers a full bar, a variety of seating and additional games.

So take a look around, and if you go, be sure to send any first impressions to the tipline.
