Take a First Look Inside Henley, Now Open in the Kimpton Aertson Hotel

It’s one of the year’s most anticipated restaurants

Today marks the opening of Henley, the modern American brasserie from James Beard award-winning chef RJ Cooper. You’ve seen the menu, and now Eater has your first look at the restaurant space.

Located inside the Kimpton Aertson Hotel at 2023 Broadway, the 114-seat interior space was created by Colorado-based design firm OZ Architecture. The focal point is a 19-seat bar, with a community table on one side and additional open bar seating on the other. The main dining area features leather-upholstered banquettes from A&W Upholstery and a custom snack cart made by local furniture design group Hunter+Gatherer Society. Featured on the dining room walls are some of Cooper’s favorite family photos, dating back to the early 1900s. An additional room, The Snooker, currently serves as an extension of the main dining room, but will transition to a tasting menu only space once that menu is rolled out in the future. Not pictured is a small outdoor patio with additional seating for up to 26 guests.

So take a look around. And if you go, be sure to send any first impressions to the tipline.
