Charleston-based gourmet market and cafe Caviar & Bananas opens to the public tomorrow morning, joining the Kimpton Aertson Hotel’s Henley restaurant in the Aertson Midtown development. Located at 2031 Broadway, the concept is unique for Nashville, offering essential groceries along with high-end food items and a large dine-in/carry-out restaurant component. It also marks the first outpost of co-founders and owners Margaret and Kris Furniss’ restaurant and retail concept outside of South Carolina, and the fifth location overall. And the all-day menus look to cover the bases.
Open seven days a week, Caviar & Bananas covers a lot of territory, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, along with weekend brunch and a wine bar menu made up of small plates. Breakfast and brunch items range from smoked salmon bagels and a breakfast burrito to lemon oatmeal pancakes and the ubiquitous avocado toast. The rest of the all-day menu offers up a variety of salads, sandwiches, larger plates and sides, along with a wine bar menu of small plates including charred octopus, duck liver pate and caviar service for two. A variety of coffee and tea is also available.
So take a look at all the menus and plan your attack.
