Look Inside Oak Steakhouse, Now Open Downtown

It’s Indigo Road’s first entry into Nashville

The Nashville outpost of Charleston-based Oak Steakhouse is now open next to the Westin Hotel. Located at 801 Clark Place, the 7,000-square-foot restaurant and bar is a looker, offering soaring ceilings, walls of windows and a somewhat subtle tree motif.

Bill Johnson of Atlanta-based The Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry handled architecture and design duties for Indigo Road Restaurant Group’s first foray into the Music City market. The space features a main bar along with several more casual lounge areas on the first floor. Leather banquettes and a variety of seating arrangements fill out the ground floor’s main dining area. The second floor also has additional dining space overlooking the first floor. Other design elements include a floor-to-ceiling wine wall and custom light fixtures made to look like the tops of acorns.

So take a look around, and if you have any first impressions be sure to send them along to the tipline.
