Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria, the popular North Nashville neighborhood pizza joint that opened to hour-long lines back in March, is capitalizing on its quick success by adding a second location on the south side of town.
The Tennessean reports that owners Clinton Gray, Derrick Moore and Emanuel Reed plan to open the new outpost late this fall in Antioch in a former Applebee’s located at 270 Hickory Hollow Parkway. The new 4,324-square-foot restaurant will also include a new concept from the trio called The Rollout, which will sell Slim & Husky’s clothing, cinnamon rolls, carry-out pizza, wine and craft beers. A first location of The Rollout is planned to open in the next two months at 1006 Buchanan St. in the commercial district where Slim & Husky’s currently operates.
Gray says that they chose this area for expansion because "we feel like in regards to food, local food specifically, Antioch has been underprivileged and underserved[.] We feel like that area of Antioch is going to grow dramatically and we want to be there and be a part of that growth."
