Bare Bones Butcher Opened This Past Weekend in The Nations

THE NATIONS - Bare Bones Butcher, a whole-animal butcher and grocery, opened this past weekend at 906 51st Ave. N in The Phoenix on 51st building. Owners Wesley Adams and Patrick Davidson are offering up a variety of locally sourced proteins and market items, as well as a small kitchen menu with a selection of sandwiches and six taps (five beer and one dedicated to Matchless coffee soda). Regular hours will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. [EaterWire/Tennessean]

DOWNTOWN - Country music star Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row bar and entertainment venue debuted at 400 Broadway on New Year’s Eve, offering up yet another shiny multi-level haunt for the tourist-heavy nightlife strip. Lunch and dinner is served daily, with brunch on the weekends and of course a full bar. Hours are 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN - After closing downtown bar The National Underground nearly two years ago, brothers Gavin and Joey DeGraw have reopened it as Nashville Underground, creating a 40,000-square-foot, four level restaurant, bar, and nightlife venue. Located at 105 Broadway, the first two floors were opened at the end of November, with a grand opening set for this week. Features include three stages, more than 40 televisions, an LED video rooftop dance floor, and live music seven days a week. [EaterWire/Tennessean]

THE GULCH - Breakfast and lunch spot Kona Espresso Bar opened just after the new year at 1201 Demonbreun St. Brothers Ryan and Justin Buttner, along with business partner Robert Kane (owners of Bare Naked Bagel food truck), are offering up a menu of caffeinated staples, along with smoothies, baked goods, and a vegetable-heavy lunch menu. WEST NASHVILLE - Bubble tea shop Royal Boba soft opened at 265 White Bridge Pike just before the new year, offering a variety of iced and warm tea blends. Its grand opening is set for Jan. 20 with current hours varying, so be sure to check social media for updates. [EaterWire]
