DOWNTOWN - Holston House, a new 191-room boutique hotel at 118 7th Ave. N., opened earlier this week, and with it came three more food and beverage options: TENN, a seven day a week, three meal a day contemporary Southern restaurant helmed by executive chef Philip Shyatt (who most recently worked in Charlotte, but was a longtime fixture in Nashville’s restaurant scene and last worked at Bound’ry when it was actually a restaurant); Bar TENN, the hotel’s casual lobby bar; and TENN on Top, the rooftop bar that will open in March. THE GULCH - After a number of years hosting diners at their Lenox Village location, husband and wife team Chris and Erica Rains have moved The Chef & I to downtown Nashville, rebranding it as The Chef & I on Ninth and expanding the concept. Located at 611 Ninth Ave. S., the restaurant still specializes in interactive multi-course meals, but now also includes lunch and brunch throughout the week. [EaterWire]

SOBRO - The owner of Midtown’s The Row Kitchen & Pub and The Honeysuckle in Franklin will open NashHouse Southern Spoon and Saloon in the recently opened Cambria hotel this May. The restaurant and bar from POP Hospitality Group will include a large stage for live music, a private dining room, a whiskey bar, and 36 brews on tap. [EaterWire/Nashville Post]
