Popular multi-level Lower Broadway restaurant and bar, Acme Feed & Seed, was forced to close this weekend after the rooftop collapsed during open hours on a busy Saturday afternoon. A tweet from the Nashville Fire Department Saturday shows a picture of the buckled rooftop bar’s floor and adds that no people were injured in the accident.
Acme’s managers tried to reopen the bottom two floors Saturday night, but fire officials quickly responded by tweeting that they then “issued a stop order” until further inspection by a structural engineer and proper Metro code officials.
Further updates on Acme’s Facebook page stated that the multi-level tourist attraction would remain closed all day Sunday and Monday morning. It sounds like they hope to reopen this afternoon, but keep a watch on their social media to confirm if parts of Acme will indeed start serving sushi, southern staples, and libations again today or not.
