The Midtown space that formerly housed Soulshine Pizza Factory now belongs to The Dogwood — a bar and restaurant from Austin-based Carmack Concepts, according to the Nashville Business Journal. Carmack Concepts is owned by former “Bachelor” star Brad Womack and his brother Chad Womack, along with Jason Carrier. The transformation of the space is just getting started, but preliminary renderings on their Facebook page show a dual-level patio and small indoor stage for live music. Owners say they hope to open in April of 2019.

As far as food goes, the Austin location’s menu shows pretty par-for-the-course bar fare — beginning with standard apps like mozzarella sticks, nachos, and fried pickles. The rest of the menu is standard — with salads, wings, burgers, tacos, and other sandwiches.

On Sundays, there’s even a designated hangover menu served until 3 p.m. laden with eggs, tacos, and fried piled with chorizo, queso, and gravy. Oh — and a breakfast shot with whiskey, OJ, and bacon.

Former tenant Soulshine Pizza’s Midtown location closed in February. Owners said that attached Slider House would remain open.
