Little Donkey, a Mexican restaurant in Germantown beloved for its street-style tacos and margaritas, announced Sunday morning that they would close after service that day. The Birmingham-based Mexican restaurant and bar’s Germantown Market location was open less than three years. Housed next to Juice Bar and newly opened NoBaked cookie dough, the restaurant served an extensive menu of Mexican fare including soups, salads. and Mexican street-style tacos.
A statement from Little Donkey’s chef and owner Joshua Gentry via press release said “After two and a half years of service, Little Donkey Nashville will be closing its doors. We greatly appreciate the hard work of our staff and the community’s support, but have ultimately decided to focus our efforts on our other three locations. Our last day of service is Sunday, October 7.”
Outside of Nashville, Little Donkey has two locations in Birmingham and one in Montgomery, Alabama.
