Something else new is brewing in bustling East Nashville, as PR professional and hospitality industry veteran Hannah Schneider announces details about Kettner Coffee Supply — a whimsical, “not-so-serious” coffee shop opening in early 2019. Located in The Eastland Building at 1035 W. Eastland Avenue, Suite 1045, Kettner is named after Schneider’s favorite street in her hometown of San Diego.
With her childhood home in mind and the carefree attitudes that come with youth, Schneider says the shop won’t take itself too seriously, and that is woven throughout the space and in the branding. Adding to the childlike, nostalgic vibe is a soft-serve ice cream machine dispensing fun, rotating flavors.
Kettner Coffee Supply will pour high-end Nicaraguan coffee and serve a limited food menu, available to grab on the go or sit awhile and enjoy.
Schneider is the owner of New York and Nashville-based food and beverage-focused public relations firm, Hannah Schneider Creative, and was previously involved with Salt & Vine with Mattie Jackson Selecman, which closed in July this year. She once called the Eastland building home and says she’s excited to continue affiliation with it in a new role as a business owner. “My goal is to continue serving the East Nashville neighborhood that I have grown to love, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to do so alongside three other women-owned businesses, including Darling Salon & Blowout Bar, The Bookshop, and Peninsula,” says Schneider.
