A new restaurant and roastery is currently under construction in the 100 Oaks Mall area.
Called Golden Rule, the new project is located at 2934 Sidco Dr., a recently rehabilitated warehouse which boasts The Candle Bar (not an actual bar) as its first tenant. Few details are known, but a sign posted out front promises breakfast, lunch, and coffee, with a spring opening as the target.
Restaurant openings have been few and far between in this heavily commercial part of town. One of the last was Wholly Chow, which opened in early 2014 serving up southern fare for breakfast, lunch, and brunch. It closed its doors in late 2016.
