Pastaria’s Gerard Craft Plans St. Louis/Nashville Pop-Up Dinner Series

MIDTOWN - Pastaria owner and James Beard award-winning chef Gerard Craft is setting up a St. Louis/Nashville exchange program of sorts with a new pop-up series called Gateway-Music City Crossover Pizza Takeovers. Once a month starting in March, Craft’s Pastaria outposts will each host a visiting chef from its sister city. First up for St. Louis is Josephine chef/partner and 2018 James Beard semifinalist Andy Little on March 7. And coming to Nashville on March 13 is Kevin Nashan, winner of the 2017 James Beard award for Best Chef: Midwest for his work at Sidney Street Cafe and Peacemaker Lobster & Crab. Special menus will include salads, appetizers, pizzas, and gelatos, and will be available from 5 to 10 p.m. at both locations. [EaterWire]

EAST NASHVILLE - The first annual East Nashville Restaurant Week is currently underway. Running through Sunday, March 4, east side eateries Butcher & Bee, Fort Louise, Treehouse, Two Ten Jack, Margot Cafe, Urban Cowboy Public House, Peninsula, Cafe Roze, TKO, and Rudie’s Seafood & Sausage are each offering a special restaurant week menu with wallet-friendly prices. EAST NASHVILLE - If you missed out on Vivek Surti’s VEA Supper Club brunch at Treehouse a few Sundays ago, have no fear. Because he’s coming back starting this Sunday, March 4, and he’ll be setting up shop there every Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. through April 8.
